10 Minute School (10MS), founded in 2015 by Ayman Sadiq, is the largest online education platform in Bangladesh. Reaching millions of students, it offers a wide array of courses ranging from academic subjects for grades 1-12 to university admission preparation, skill development, and language learning. Content is delivered through engaging video lessons, quizzes, live classes, and a mobile app, providing flexibility and accessibility to learners. While many courses are free, 10MS also offers premium subscriptions for more in-depth learning. The platform’s impact has been significant, contributing to increased access to education and skill development across Bangladesh. Recent figures indicate 10 Minute School employs around 2,945 employees.

The Issues

10 Minute School faced a number of significant challenges with their previous HR management system, leading them to seek a more comprehensive HRIS solution from AKIJ BPO.

One of the most pressing issues was unreliable communication. Employees were consistently missing important updates and reminders due to inconsistent push and pop-up notifications. This lack of real-time communication was hindering overall productivity and engagement.

Additionally, 10 Minute School struggled with the complexities of managing multiple shifts. The existing system did not provide efficient tools for scheduling, tracking attendance, or handling shift changes, leading to confusion and potential errors in payroll calculations.

What Was Our Process? 

AKIJ BPO employed a comprehensive and collaborative methodology to address the HR challenges faced by 10 Minute School through the implementation of PeopleDesk:

Needs Assessment and Analysis

The AKIJ BPO team started the project by doing a full needs assessment. They did this by talking to key partners and HR staff at 10 Minute School in-depth. This helped everyone understand exactly what the problems were and what they wanted to happen.

Customization and Configuration

Because PeopleDesk is so flexible, we were able to make the HRIS system fit 10 Minute School’s specific organizational structure, processes, and legal needs. Setting up sections for things like salary, job management, tracking leaves, alerts, and more was part of this.
